Call of Duty: Black Ops is set to be the biggest selling day one media product of all-time. November 9th, the day of it's release, is a day that should be observed as a record-breaking mark in the establishment of Video Games as a big ticket media juggernaut.
Judging from previews it is clear that the game will be a triple-A title in the truest sense of the word. However, just because it is understood that something will be good does not mean that we shouldn't determine how good. My review of Call of Duty: Black Ops will allow me to practice the art of reviewing big name titles. I will be using this piece in my writing portfolio when I graduate to show my ability to review media products.
The piece will follow standard video game reviewing precedure which includes detailing features, graphics, controls, and replay ability. For this piece, I will be reviewing the single-player and multiplayer pieces seperately. As such, the piece will be fairly long but will leave the reader with no doubt about whether or not to purchase the game. It is with hopes that you find this piece enjoyable to read and even consider the stylistic choices made in my writing.
